TRAINING AND EDUCATION

Iris’ Special Effects training comes from the highly regarded Vocational Academy of Makeup and Prosthetics; located in Orlando, Florida. Taught in a small class of 11 students by two industry professionals (Brian Mahoney and Osiris Rivera) the basics, and not so basics of practical film effects; as well as professionalism and business by our school director Ann Duvosin. Iris plans to attend the Professional Beauty program VAMP offers eventually in the future, as well.

Iris’ training also dates back through high school as a die hard tech theater kid. Graduating from Lyman High School in May of 2025 as a Vice President's List Scholar of Thespian Troupe 2329. She designed makeup for 2 Main Stage Productions, 2 One Act Productions and 3 Personal "Thespy" Events. Their final Thespy in their Senior year for the musical Urinetown, received Perfect Scores, Top Honors and Critic's Choice Technical Event.
